City Council appointed a new court judge, Robert Duran, on July 14, 2014 who will now see over all pending and new cases for the Town of Anthony.

Operation Stonegarden is a federal grant program administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), a component of the Department of Homeland Security, as part of the State Homeland Security Grant Program. Stonegarden provides funding to state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies to enhance their capabilities “to jointly secure U.S. borders and territories.”
"National Night 2014 another success"
Our department once again had a very successful NNO for this year. Many came out to enjoy this Night out against crime! Over 400 prizes, 300 hot dogs and 600 beverages were given out free to the community. The event brought the police department , residents, businesses and youth together for a great party. Thank you to all our sponsors and volunteers.
"End of Summer Car Show biggest year yet"
The Department had it's biggest Car Show event yet and it's only going to get bigger. The Department was able to raise over $10,000 benefitting the APD food pantry and keeping it stocked for 2015. The event had a total of 163 car registered and the max capacity was 150 cars for wet n wild. The event showcase celebrity entertainment bringing record breaking attendance to over 6,000 people for Labor Day weekend at Wet N Wild.
"I-10 rollover accident results in one person ejected"
ANTHONY, Texas- The Anthony Police Department has identified the driver of a vehicle involved in a rollover accident on Thursday night.
Police were dispatched to Interstate 10 east mile marker 1 in reference to a single vehicle accident around 10 p.m. Officers discovered a tan Cadillac SUV had rolled over. The driver, 25-year-old Leroy Gonzalez, was ejected, police said. Gonzalez was airlifted to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
