CURRENT CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Police Trainee
Begin your law enforcement career with the Anthony Police Department. Police trainees will undergo a rigorous police academy designed to prepare them for the responsibilities of a professional peace officer. Trainees must successfully complete the academy, pass the required state licensing examination, and meet all departmental employment requirements to become eligible for appointment as a Texas-licensed peace officer.

Full-Time Peace Officer
We welcome applications from individuals holding a current Texas peace officer license, including experienced officers seeking new opportunities to serve, grow, and advance their careers. Former law enforcement officers with a break in service of less than 12 months may also be eligible to apply, subject to departmental requirements.

Reserve Peace Officer
Our reserve program provides an opportunity for certified peace officers, including those with limited or no prior law enforcement experience, to develop their skills through additional training and practical experience. Reserve officers may have opportunities to compete for full-time positions upon completing the department's Field Training Officer (FTO) program and meeting all applicable requirements.

Training and Professional Development
